In an attempt to stop her son’s cannabis addiction, a woman in Telangana’s Nalgonda district tied her 15-year-old son to a pole, and applied chilli powder into his eyes.


New Delhi: In an attempt to stop her son’s cannabis addiction, a woman in Telangana’s Nalgonda district tied her 15-year-old son to a pole, and applied chilli powder into his eyes. The incident, which was recorded on cellphone and widely shared over social media, has been grabbing eyeballs. 


The viral video showed the boy tied to a concrete pole outside the house in a street while his mother kept rubbing the chilli and the boy screaming to stop. The teenager was only freed when he promised his mother to quit the 1-year addiction.The boy was so addicted to marijuana and his mother could not bear to see her son's condition.

Needless to mention, the video went virl for obvious reasons and garnered more than 10k views. "maa ka pyaar" reads one comment. Another user wrote, "this boy will never forget the love of his mom lol"

For the uninitiated, the drug menace has become a major challenge in Telangana in recent times, and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has asked authorities to crack down on drug peddling and consumption of drugs in the state.
