In Madhya Pradesh ( Madhya Pradesh ), the screw over
27 percent OBC reservation continues. Hearing a new petition today, the
Madhya Pradesh High Court has stayed the 27 percent OBC reservation in the
MPPSC recruitment process . The court has said that only 14 percent reservation
will continue in the recruitment process. Actually this petition was filed
on behalf of MPPSC 2019 student Niharika Tripathi. The student had
challenged the process of giving 27% OBC reservation in the recruitment process
after the recently released MPPSC 2019 exam results. During the hearing on
behalf of the petitioner, it was argued that the total percentage of
reservation being given to different categories in the MPPSC
recruitment process is 63 percent.
That is, in the result of MPPSC 2019 Mains, 63 percent reservation
is being given to OBC, SC and ST categories. Already in many cases, the
Madhya Pradesh High Court has banned the 27 percent OBC reservation. At
the same time, many judgments of the Supreme Court also say that the percentage
of reservation cannot exceed 50 percent in any condition. The Division
Bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court Chief Justice RV Malimath, hearing the
matter, has issued a notice directing that only 14 percent reservation should
be given to OBC category in the MPPSC 2019 recruitment process.
Reply sought from MPPSC
The court has issued a notice to the

hearing in the case will be on February 21. Let us tell you that there is
