Night Curfew In Tamil Nadu: It has been decided to impose night curfew and lockdown on Sunday from January 6 to curb the growing cases of covid in Tamil Nadu . Chief Minister MK Stalin said the night curfew would be in force from 10 pm to 5 am. In addition, from January 9, from 7 am to 10 pm, people can buy food from the restaurant.

He said that only online classes would be conducted from class I to IX. Schools will be open for 10th and 12th class. The government said everything would be closed on Sunday (January 9) and only 50 per cent capacity would be allowed in buses, local trains and metros.

 

According to an official release, all public and private 'pongal events' and cultural programs are being postponed and all amusement and other parks will remain closed. People will not be allowed to visit places of worship on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the week. The current restrictions on political, cultural and social events will continue.

 

As many as 4,862 new cases of corona were reported in the state on Wednesday and nine people died. There are currently 16,577 active patients.
