They have decided to reward the ground workers who have prepared the best wickets for Test cricket. 

Rs 35,000 incentive to pitch preparation staff

Rahul Dravid, the new coach of the Indian cricket team, felicitated the employees who prepared the best pitch under the leadership of Shiv Kumar at the Green Park ground here with an incentive of Rs 35,000. 

The Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) announced in the press box after the game, "We would like to make an official announcement. Rahul Dravid has personally given Rs 35,000 to our ground personnel.

Ground workers made fair wickets

In his time, Dravid was known for his fair playing spirit. The incentive money received by the groundmen was a symbol of the fact that the pitch had something for the bowlers and batsmen on day five of the match. Rahul Dravid also praised him for preparing a fair pitch.

On this pitch, where batsmen like Shreyas Iyer, Shubman Gill, Tom Latham and Will Young, who showed excellent technique, scored runs, fast bowlers like Tim Southee and Kyle Jamieson troubled India's top order. The pitch also helped the Indian spinners.

India failed to take the last wicket

In the exciting Test played in Kanpur, India was one step away from victory and the Test match was drawn. Ajaz Patel and Rachin Ravindra batted brilliantly for New Zealand in the last overs.

For India, Ashwin took 4 and Jadeja took 3 wickets. Umesh Yadav and Axar Patel took 1-1 wickets. Rachin scored an unbeaten 18 runs for the Kiwi team and faced 91 balls.
