On the eve of Diwali 2021, the Government of India announced excise duty reduction on petrol and diesel.

Excise duty on petrol and diesel will be reduced by Rs 5 and Rs 10, respectively, from November 4.

Russia Facebook Ban: Facebook limited access to accounts linked to the Russian government after Russia's attack on Ukraine. Russia  on Friday announced a '  partial  ban' on  Facebook . This has been done by Moscow  because the social media company had limited access to several Russian government-backed accounts  after the attack on Ukraine.  Russian state communications agency Roskomnadzor said on Friday it called on Facebook to lift restrictions imposed on Thursday on state news agency RIA Novosti, state TV channel Zvezda and pro-Kremlin news sites Lenta.Ru and Gazeta.Ru. The agency said Facebook has not reinstated the media outlets.
