Amidst the ongoing crisis in Afghanistan, a man from the Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh has returned to his homeland after nearly 23 years from the neighboring country of Pakistan. The Indian Army handed over Prahlad to the Madhya Pradesh Police on Monday evening.

was lodged in Pakistan, the police told that Prahlad is lodged in a Pakistani jail. The family members were happy to get their information on one hand and on the other they were also terrified to know about it. However, after this the family started efforts for his release, which finally paid off and on the evening of Monday 30 August, Prahlad was finally handed over to the Indian Army by the Pakistan Army.
Prahlad Singh Rajput was released from Pakistan's jail on Monday itself and handed over to the Indian Army at the Bagha-Attari border at 5.10 pm. After this, after the necessary paperwork, the army handed him over to Sub-Inspector Arvind Singh, Constable Anil Singh and Prahlad's brother Vir Singh of Gourjhamar police station in Sagar district. Prahlad reached India with 2 bags with him.
Seeing
his brother , tears of happiness started flowing in his eyes, his younger brother Veer Singh also reached the Attari border to pick up Prahlad. After the release of Prahlad Singh Rajput, who was imprisoned in Pakistan for 23 years, his brother Veer Singh had tears of joy in his eyes and thanked the Madhya Pradesh government and police administration for the efforts made for his brother's release. It is being told that Prahlad will reach his home in Sagar district by Tuesday afternoon.
