Uttarakhand: Big opportunity for women, can become 'gypsy safari driver' in Jim Corbett

There is going to be a big change in the Jim Corbett National Park of Uttarakhand. For the first time, recruitment of women will be started for Gypsy Safari. This new step is being taken to increase the participation of women. It has been told that the administration has started the work of recruitment of 50 women gypsy operators and registration of gypsies for the tourism season in Corbett Tiger Reserve.

These 50 gypsies will be operated by women only. It will be linked to self-employment through skill development to ensure direct participation of women of the state in forest conservation and promotion and consequently to increase employment prospects in the state.

For this, the Corbett administration has started work for the recruitment of 50 women gypsy drivers. Giving information in this regard, Kalyani, Deputy Director, Corbett Tiger Reserve said that 50 additional vehicles will be registered under Corbett Tiger Reserve. For those which will be operated by women, then a release has also been issued for them from a high level.

Many applications have also been received in it. Now after examining those applications, further action will be taken. By the way, now women who do not even know how to drive a vehicle, they can also be admitted. Those women will be taught to drive by the Corbett Tiger Reserve itself and when they become proficient in driving, then they will be given a chance to drive a gypsy safari.

In such a situation, women are going to have an active role in Jim Corbett in the coming days. She will also be seen driving a gypsy safaris. It has also been told that the financial assistance that will be required to buy a vehicle will also be given under the Veerchand Garhwali scheme as per the rules. In such a situation, after full preparation, this new change is being implemented.
