Now this state government has given a gift to its employees, increased dearness allowance

DA Hike in Rajasthan: The news of relief came in the day for central government employees and pensioners. It has been decided to remove the ban on the increase of their dearness allowance.

DA Hike in Rajasthan: Amidst the Corona epidemic and rising inflation, the Ashok Gehlot government of Rajasthan announced on Wednesday to increase the dearness allowance, giving relief to the people. It has been decided to increase dearness allowance of state government employees and pensioners from 17 per cent to 28 per cent. This rate of dearness allowance will be valid from July 1, 2021.

State Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot tweeted that despite this difficult situation of Corona, the state government will spend about Rs 4000 crore annually on this decision to support the employees.

It is worth noting that earlier there was news of relief for central government employees and pensioners. It has been decided to remove the ban on the increase of their dearness allowance. The rate of dearness allowance has now increased from 17% to 28%.

After the decision, now the rate of dearness allowance to government employees has increased to 28 percent from the present 17 percent. This means that the employees were getting dearness allowance at the rate of 17 percent from January 1, 2020 till now. According to the decision, the new rate will be applicable from this month, whose benefit will be available in the salary of July. This decision of the Modi government will benefit about 48 lakh central government employees and 65 lakh pensioners.

This decision has been taken by the Modi government at a time when it was banned last year. DA was first stopped by the Central Government till 1 January 2020 and later it was stopped till 1 July 2021. This decision was taken by the Central Government due to the decreasing revenue of the government and increasing expenditure on welfare schemes amid the Corona epidemic.

Three installments are pending on dearness allowance, that is - from 1 January 2020 to 30 June 2020 - 4 per cent, from 1 July 2020 to 31 December 2020 - 3 per cent and from 1 January 2021 to 30 June 2021 - 4 per cent. After removing the moratorium on dearness allowance, there can be a big increase in take-hum salary, provident fund contribution and gratuity of central employees.
