Prime Minister Modi spoke to Dilip Kumar's wife Saira Banu over the phone. The Prime Minister has given consolation to the family in this hour of grave sorrow.


New Delhi: Dilip Kumar, popularly known as the great actor and tragedy king, said goodbye to this world today. Many people associated with cinema and politics are mourning his death. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also condoled the death of Dilip Kumar. 

The Prime Minister said that his passing is a loss to our cultural world. Along with this, Prime Minister Modi has spoken to Dilip Kumar's wife Saira Banu over the phone. The Prime Minister has given consolation to the family in this hour of grave sorrow. The Prime Minister spoke to Shayra Bano for about ten minutes.

Prime Minister Modi tweeted, "Dilip Kumar ji will be remembered as a cinematic legend. He was blessed with unparalleled talent, due to which generations of audience were mesmerized. His passing is a loss to our cultural world. Condolences to his family, friends and countless fans. tribute.''

He breathed his last at 7.30 am today,
Bollywood's veteran actor Dilip Kumar has passed away. He was 98 years old. He breathed his last at 7.30 am today. Dilip Kumar was admitted to the hospital on June 29 due to difficulty in breathing. Dilip Kumar was ailing for a long time. Dilip Kumar's family friend Faizal Farooqui today informed about the actor's death on Twitter. He wrote – It has to be said with a very heavy heart that Dilip Saab is no more with us.

Born in Peshawar, Pakistan,
Dilip Kumar was born on 11 December 1922 in Peshawar. His father's name was Lala Ghulam Sarawar Khan and mother's name was Ayesha Begum. He has a total of 12 siblings. His father was a fruit seller. Yusuf Khan did his schooling in Devlali. He grew up with Raj Kapoor who was also his neighbor. Later both of them made their mark in the film industry.
