Tripura shares an 856-kilometer border with Bangladesh, where cow smuggling and illegal immigration have long been challenges. India on Friday said three Bangladeshi nationals were killed while trying to steal cattle after crossing the Indian border, and not beaten by a mob, as Dhaka has claimed. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) clarified that the incident took place on October 15, about 3 kilometers inside the Indian territory in Tripura. Accusing the mob of lynching, the Bangladesh government lodged a strong protest over the incident and alleged that three Bangladeshi citizens were beaten to death by a mob in Tripura. OPD Timings:  From today, the timings of OPD (New OPD Timings in Punjab) have changed in government hospitals and dispensaries of Punjab and Chandigarh. Due to this, the counters will open one hour late, while the registration counters will open half an hour earlier. The administration says that these instructions have been issued keeping in mind the winter. However, emergency services will continue to function regularly for 24 hours as before. The successful surgery was performed on a 45-year-old patient at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi. Y Puran Kumar, a 2001-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer who was recently posted as the inspector general of the Police Training Centre in Rohtak's Sunaria, was found dead on Tuesday with a gunshot wound in his residence in Chandigarh's Sector 11. The National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) has directed the Chandigarh Chief Secretary and Director General of Police to submit an action-taken report within seven days in connection to the suicide case of Haryana IPS officer Y Puran Kumar. Y. Puran Kumar (52), a 2001-batch IPS officer, was found dead at his residence in Chandigarh on Tuesday. His body, bearing a gunshot wound, was discovered in a basement room.
